Melbourne performer Mo•Louie leaves no stone unturned in her honest approach to songwriting and performing. The new visual for latest single ‘She Said’ portrays an interesting insight into the thoughts of the artist.
It represents a tug-a-war-esque battle within the mind of Mo•Louie, with dancers representing the mental state of the songstress, always challenging her mind. She says,
“The music video of ‘She Said’ is inspired by the sensitive and highly emotional thoughts my mind goes through in difficult situations, specifically surrounding a hurtful remark aimed at me. An episode of clustered and over exaggerated thoughts about what ‘she said’ are represented by the dancers and drag queen in their movements and expressions.”
Cast in the video is professional circus performer Jordan Revell and dancers Melissa Lumand Sophie Tan from ‘Burn City Waack Community’. Jordana plays Mo’s alter ego, the dramatic and over-thinking thoughts in Mo’s brain, while Melissa’s choreography represents rigid and emotionless and Sophie is expressive and emotional.
Join Mo•Louie at her single launch at Boney on Thursday 8 December with support from Youthfire (yesss) and Lacuna.
