Fashion diaries out, please. Fashion designer Nicolas Ghesquière, Artistic Director of Women’s Collections at Louis Vuitton, and Grace Coddington, former Creative Director for Vogue, are the next guests to be in conversation with Alina Cho at The Met.
Each year Alina Cho hosts The Atelier as part of the MetLiveArts series at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. MetLiveArts is a contemporary performance and talks platform held within gallery spaces in its hallowed halls.
Previous special guests have included Proenza Schouler, Michael Kors, Alber Elbaz, Alexander Wang, Diane von Furstenberg, Donatella Versace and Anna Wintour, all invited to collaborate and share their style stories and expertise.
At 6.30pm on Monday 22 October, Grace Coddington and Nicolas Ghesquière will appear together with Cho to discuss their recent collaboration for Louis Vuitton, a shared love of animals, and what lays ahead, including Ghesquière’s forthcoming appearance on Face to Grace, Coddington’s new Made to Measure (M2M) series.
As two influential and intriguing voices in fashion, Ghesquière and Coddington have made remarkable contributions to the fashion industry and shaped ideas around luxury, taste, and skill that inform an understanding of fashion as art.
All you need to do is show up and take it all in. The talk forms part of the fifth season of The Atelier series with Alina Cho.
