Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane 2019 has released its full program of events for all to savour, and prepare to secure a hallowed runway spot.

Tickets are on sale today, Monday 3 June.

Queensland’s biggest and most prestigious fashion runway event returns to welcome the Spring/Summer season with open and perfectly-tailored arms, from Sunday 25 – Thursday 29 August, 2019.

Now in its 13th year, MBFF Brisbane remains dedicated to supporting Queensland’s creative industries and local brands. Last year’s event saw over 100 designers and retailers and over 800 new-season fashions on show, with up to 3,500 fashion fans attending runway shows. Thousands more from around Australia saw local designers on show, via social media and Live Streams.

The festival is committed to spotlighting the best new-season collections from top Australian and next-gen fashion designers. Big names and fresh new talent will be serving up Spring/Summer looks, providing a national platform for the best and brightest local, Australian, and next generation fashion talent.

In addition to the new-season goodness strutting down the runway, extra-special off-site events will provide more opportunity than ever to those wanting to immerse themselves in the fashion week experience.

First up, the exclusive Sunset Launch Party hosted by The Fantauzzo will be ringing in the new season, as well as showing off this year’s prodigious location that is the Howard Smith Wharves precinct. Perfectly picturesque, and with dazzling views of the Story Bridge and city skyline, the newly revitalised, heritage Wharves are situated among Brisbane’s most iconic sites.

MBFF Brisbane are also delighted to introduce a brand-new event for 2019: Lunch with the Girls, hosted at Brisbane City Hall on Monday, 26 August. Enjoy an indulgent, two-course luncheon designed by Epicure, in the company of some of Australia’s most successful women including Kerri-Anne Kennerley, journalist Georgina Lewis and 97.3FM’s Bianca Dye. Special celebrity hosts will discuss all things fashion, while guests take in a salon show featuring the top 40 trends for Spring/Summer, curated by Fashion Festival Styling Director, Kimberly Gardner.

The first show to launch the new runway at Howards Hall, Howard Smith Wharves will be the drawcard QueensPlaza Fashion Show on Monday, 26 August. A covetable line-up from the centre’s luxury Australian and high-end international brands and retailers will feature. Home to the likes of David Jones, Viktoria & Woods, Aje, Scanlan Theodore, Calibre, Bulgari and sass & bide, the QueensPlaza Fashion Show is always unmissable.
