This Sunday: Picnic in the Park is celebrating its 12th annual food and wine gathering at Mirimbah Park at the base of Mt Stirling and Mt Buller resorts. And, the main focus is on revitalising tourism in the surrounding areas of Mansfield, Jamieson, Merrijig, Delatite and the Alpine region of Victoria.
Picnic in the Park attendees are encouraged to bring an empty picnic basket and fill it with seasonal produce (wine) and fare (wine) from the locals. There are so many great challenges you could set amongst your friendship group and family, starting with an empty basket and a full tank of petrol. Add your favourite picnic rug, some live entertainment, and you’re off! Mind you, if you do fill a basket with wine, you’re probably best to stay somewhere local too.
