C’est Toi: LA-based Cameron Avery returns to Australia for live shows in January

Following his debut release ‘C’est Toi’, with iconic US label ANTI (WilcoTom Waits), Australian LA-based songwriter Cameron Avery has announced a return home with a series of dates in Fremantle, Sydney and Melbourne.

Written about the last time he fell in love, C’est Toi is the first song from Avery’s highly anticipated forthcoming album. Actually, we fell in love at around the time it was released in September. Raw nostalgia and romantically imperfect musings saw us absolutely fall head over heels for Cameron Avery’s talents.

Having made Los Angeles his base and creative playground for the past two years, his solo aesthetic, first heard in We’re Just Making It Worse feat. Alexandria became clear, with ambitious style and cinematic, influences like Serge Gainsbourg and Lee Hazlewood coming through, oozing with that magic unknown spark.

The forthcoming Australian tour follows from Avery’s recent support slots for The Last Shadow Puppets and Father John Misty, and constant touring exploits with Tame Impala, and Allbrook/Avery.

Prepare for love. It’s right here.

Shot between New York and LA, the accompanying clip was directed by JOY Collective’s dynamic duo Mike Bennet & Nathan Lewis.
