This weekend Melbourne abstract painter and graffiti artist Slicer will present a collection of new works exploring anti-predator adaptations, materiality and the psyche.
Open for only two days at Besser Space in Collingwood, Defence Mechanisms sees the artist employ the use of assemblage and an exploration of new sculptural techniques.
Slicer uses common construction materials; Corrugated steel, expansion foam, plastic and wood, all combined to create an engaging enquiry into an automated reaction, and the nature of defence.
