This week Australian band Boy & Bear embarks on their Limit of Love national album tour. In anticipation, they’ve released their new video for the title track of their Limit of Love album, which debuted at #1 on the Australian ARIA chart.

Dave Hosking’s distinctive vocals burn across a song that was recorded live-to-tape in Peter Gabriel‘s Real World Studios (Wiltshire, England) with producer Ethan Johns (Ryan Adams, Kings of Leon, Kaiser Chiefs).

Offering insight into Limit of Love‘s meaning, lead vocalist Dave Hosking said,

“I’ve seen lots of friends lose themselves while searching for love.  We all need to be loved and when people don’t get their fix, it can drive them to do strange things.  We liked the idea of looking at love as a drug, something more sinister, something we quite powerfully depend on.”

The video, another triumph for Oh Yeah Wow (Gotye, The Paper Kites, Hermitude) was  directed by Andrew Goldsmith and Lucy Hayes.

The national Limit Of Love tour will kick off this Friday January 22 at the Odean Theatre in Hobart.

“We’ll be starting our first tour back home in Oz this week…we’re looking forward to seeing you guys again soon, it’s been a long time since our last tour in Australia, and there’s nothing like playing at home.” – guitarist Killian Gavin.
