The NGV design store has launched a new art fashion range featuring works from the NGV’s permanent collection.
Designs incorporate works by Australian Indigenous artist Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Gabori and English designer Michael O’Connell, who worked in Australia between 1921-37.
Presented in the range is a drawstring bag, pouches, tote bag and five panel cap.
The NGV design store team collaborated with local makers Home-Work to produce the tote and drawstring bags, which have been proudly printed and made in Melbourne.
Toby Newell, Retail Operations & Merchandise Manager, NGV said:
‘The inspiration behind the range is to use the vast NGV Collection to create new and exciting design-focussed product which engages diverse audiences.’
