There are certain occasions I live for, and developing looks for a far-from-home music festival is one of them. Nothing feels quite like strutting in to Splendour wearing something that makes you feel amazing. Each year as a group, we set the dress code in honour of the bands we will see. Here are our style ideas for 2016.
In Winter, there’s the matter of layering and planning. Will it be searing hot, yet muddy and wet during sunlight, and will the temperature drop dramatically at dusk? I mean, how BIG is the bag I’m supposed to bring to this thing and carry around for 12 hours??! Be smarter, be stylish and the cold won’t get to your bones, no matter what. Rather than flocking together in your felt hats and rose headbands (rolls eyes), why not give this some thought and dress like you’re headed straight for the main amphitheatre stage? There is a great mix of mens and womenswear, but the thing to remember is that we don’t care who wears what!
Last Nite
The bigger, more colourful, brash, offensive and fun, the better. Get your velveteen fill and mix with metallics, leather, denim, and painted nails. Pin and cloth badges are essential.
