There are moments when we must unabashedly indulge in our feminine side, and steal some blissful alone time.
The lady garden (not that one)
Our favourites here include lavish wallpaper from Cole & Son, a stunning design of rhododendron blossoms and the 1st Dibs Champagne Chair by Sunbeam Jackie. Mind you don’t fall into a 1st Dibs hole, darling (you won’t be able to stop looking, we promise).

My earthly treasures
One of my favourite perfumes in recent years has been Karen Walker’s perfume A, a fruity floral with cassis, grapefruit, crushed mint leaves, rose, green tea and ylang ylang. Karen Walker perfumes were developed with one of the oldest perfumeries in France, and you can tell. Again, Perth based A Rock On A Lens delivers sunglasses that surprise and delight with their bold, yet intricately, handmade designs.

An eve of intrigue
Spring nights are excellent, best spent in the backyard, watching the sun go down. The Running The Voodoo Down compilation explores psychrockfunksoul & jazz from 1967-80. It’s the perfect soundtrack to Spring with Funkadelic, James Brown, Miles Davis, Lightning Rod & Jimi Hendrix and heaps of others. Give yourself a rest from all that new electro stuff, and settle in for the night with some old masters. This week I discovered Bee Teeth in the US. He designs all manner of lapel pins and penants of LIFE. You will love his stuff.
L-R: Status Anxiety Plunder cross body bag in tan, Bird and Knoll scarf, JAG dress, Sollis Jewellery Long Sun earrings, Liberty Art Fabrics at Radford Furnishings velvet cushions, Beeteeth Relics Shop ‘Fortune Teller’ soft enamel lapel pin, The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett, SOH Melbourne Mr Violette candle, Running The Voodoo Down: Various Artists.
