From Burleigh and Broadbeach, through to Southport and Surfers, it’s safe to say Gold Coast beer lovers appreciate the the delights of the craft beer boom, knowing a pale ale from a wheat beer, and a lager from a stout.
Due to QLD liquor-licensing laws changing only within the past 12 months, the Sunshine State is a relative latecomer to the free-flowing, craft beer party. So in order to delve a little deeper into the more traditional love affair between Queenslanders and their beer, it’s high time GC’ers celebrate the joys a truly magnificent small batch can bring.
Enter the Crafted festival. Launching this November, Crafted will be the first craft beer and cider festival for the Gold Coast.
Showing off not only local brewers but also those from South East Queensland and south of the border, it’s a one day (and evening) jollification of all things beer and cider, to the soundtrack of some amazing tunes and by the light of gourmet food trucks. What’s even the point of beer without some incredible eats to enjoy alongside, right? This inaugural event will be held within the picturesque open spaces of Pratten Park at Broadbeach, promising a welcoming and casual environment with some fine local and national talent entertaining crowds until sunset and beyond.
