Parisian born, Melbourne-based artist Lucy Lucy launches a very personal exhibition at Besser Space in Collingwood on Friday.
‘PRESENCE’ seeks to reflect our ability to be here, now and real, and explores the notion of individuals being present and truly connecting with one another.
The portraits capture human tendency to obsess about future, past or their perception of themselves. The concealing masks reflect the idea that rarely oneself is entirely present or true.
Lucy Lucy’s work moves between large-scale public murals, gallery exhibitions, book illustration and tribal ornaments.
