The 2016 NGV Unplugged Series will take place at The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia every Sunday from 5 June – 10 July 2016.
The lineup sees ARIA Award-winning former Powderfinger frontman and legend Bernard Fanning, Hoodoo Gurus god Dave Faulkner and high-energy rockers The Delta Riggs appearing, along with a lineup curated and hosted by Jae Gaffer of the Panics. It features acclaimed musician Dan Kelly and newcomers Ali Barter and Julia Jacklin (who is rocking the photo at the top of this post).
Unplugged Live pairs musicians with notable local thinkers and artists for compelling discussions on creativity and intimate live performances, all in the unique setting of the NGV Australia gallery spaces.
Tony Ellwood, Director, NGV said, ‘Through Unplugged Live, NGV celebrates the intersection of visual art and contemporary music. We hope visitors will enjoy seeing live music acts in a gallery setting, and be inspired by lively conversations about the creative process.’
Visitors to the popular and free Unplugged Live can enjoy Australian music while surrounded by Australian painting, sculpture and photography on display at NGV Australia.
