Get What You Want: Music Cinema continues on Wednesday 7 September at Queensland Art Gallery/Gallery of Modern Art. Celebrate hump day with Lil’ Wayne, or step into the 1970s New York Club Scene.

The Carter chronicled the flamboyant lifestyle and dedicated work ethic of platinum selling rapper Lil’ Wayne back in 2009. On its release the film was widely hailed as one of the most significant insights into present-day celebrity lifestyles and recent Hip-Hop history,  with The Carter revealing Lil’ Wayne’s unpredictable mind, yet a guarded persona behind the mic.
