Yosuzi SS17 extends to bags & clutches + the designer’s new library for kids in Venezuela

For SS17, the Yosuzi brand has further developed their South American artisanship beyond their iconic hats to debut a capsule collection of straw bags and clutches, which are hand-woven between Ecuador and Venezuela.

Each bag takes two days to weave, and is offered with an optional  handmade crochet pouch, which also takes two days to make.

Yosuzi’s Gift: a new Library & Teacher for Fundacio Cepin in Venezuela

The ongoing success of the Yosuzi brand across the world has enabled founder Yosuzi Sylvester to fund a new library at Fundacion Cepin in Maracaibo, Venezuela.

Fundacion Cepin is a charity that helps to feed, clothe and teach over 300 children from the Gujiro Tribe in Venezuela.

Sylvester also hired a teacher to read to kids throughout the day, with the belief that when children are encouraged to read it makes them smarter, healthier and happier, and no doubt with vivid imaginations and excitement for a bright future.
