Gold Coast musician Amy Shark has been teasing out new music to her fans lately. Weekends is from her upcoming NIGHT THINKER EP which comes out on 21 April.
Of the song, Shark says, “Weekends is an extremely personal song, I actually wrote the guitar part about 5 years ago which sounds crazy, but I couldn’t think of any lyrics good enough to match the guitar so I let it go for so many years, until now!”
The new single follows on from the enormous success of Amy Shark’s breakout track, Adore, which has now officially surpassed 10 million streams on Spotify. Adore came in at #2 on triple j’s Hottest 100. Watch out for our interview with Amy Shark, coming soon.

Meet The Obsessives
Nick Bairatchnyi and Jackson Mansfield built The Obsessives at fifteen, out of a childhood friendship and misplaced love for blues-rock. “We wanted to start a band with a “The” because bands like that three years ago were cool, like The Black Keys and The White Stripes,” Bairatchnyi remembers while laughing at his ninth-grade naivety. Three years later, the band became fixated on a new form.
ANOHNI’s EP released
ANOHNI‘s PARADISE EP is a companion to last year’s HOPELESSNESS. A collaboration with Oneohtrix Point Never and Hudson Mohawke, the Paradise EP seeks to support activist conversations and disrupt assumptions about popular music through the collision of electronic sound and highly politicised lyrics.
