A not so Dull Life: Clap Clap Riot releases third studio album amidst tragedy

Kiwi indie surf-rockers Clap Clap Riot have released their third LP today, called ‘Dull Life’, but it’s a bittersweet time for the band, as their friend and unofficial sixth band member Jeremy Toth suddenly passed away last weekend. The Australian tour has been cancelled, for now.

Dull Life is loaded with fuzzy riffs and contemporary pop elements, sawn off with a rusty rock n roll blade. Clap Clap Riot started writing the material for the album back in 2015 and later recorded it at The Lab, in Mount Eden, Auckland, in the basement of the city’s historic Crystal Palace Theatre.
