MBFF Brisbane to present bigger shows & top designers

Not only has the style agenda been set for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane, but it’s already selling out faster than your Mum can pull up her white capris.

By early Monday afternoon, Queensland fashion lovers had snapped up every last ticket  to the finale Mercedes-Benz Group Show on Thursday, 31 August, a showcase of leading Queensland and Australian designers like Camilla, Aqua Blu Australia, Chelsea De Luca, Lisa Brown, George Wu, Urbbana, Paul Hunt, Dion Lee, Ginger & Smart and Manning Cartell. Plus, all Gold Pass packages have sold out.

For those lucky enough to get their stits on, the return of this lauded Brisbane event brings runway shows featuring more designers and outfits than ever before, with some of the country’s leading designers gracing the runway at Old Government House with their Spring/Summer collections.

New Festival Partner Pacific Fair will present new-season collections from the very best local and international luxury brands. The Pacific Fair Fashion Show on Monday 28 August will feature Aje, Alice McCall, Dion Lee, David Jones, Ginger & Smart, INCU, Maje, Manning Cartell, Megan Park and Sandro Paris.

Bear witness to the future of design as the brightest up-and-coming fashion makers present their all-original, eclectic visions in the NEXT Hotel Next Gen Group Show on Tuesday 29 August. This show will feature QUT Fashion, Megan Cannings Designs, Bold, Moreno Marcos, Annalisse Designs, Platinum Plus, Mara Swim, Lydia James, Black and Bling, Brisbane School of Fashion, TAFE Queensland Brisbane and Isabelle Quinn.

The revered QueensPlaza High Tea and Fashion Trends series will make a return on Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 August. Hosted by stylist Kimberly Gardner, guests will enjoy tea, treats and champagne alongside a salon showing of covetable looks by QueensPlaza’s prestigious line-up of luxury labels.

McKinney’s Jewellers also joins the Fashion Festival as a prestigious new partner for the 2017 program. McKinney’s pieces will adorn the collections of some of Queensland’s best designers. The McKinney’s Jewellers Group Show on Wednesday, 30 August with only 8 tickets remaining, features White Label Noba, Naudic Style, Hunt + Kelly, Paul Hunt ‘Cruise’, Sacha Drake, Ella Moda, Pia du Pradal, The Irma J Smith House of Fashion, Jack Sullivan, Bertossi Brides and Bora.
