For Autumn/Winter 2016, One Fell Swoop presents DIECI, a spectacle of minimal design, relaxed tailoring and delicate drapery.
Named for the Italian word meaning ten, DIECI commemorates the ten years since Perth-based co-designers Nina Ergic and Daniel Romaninthe started the label. Some of their most distinctive designs have been restored with fresh fabrications, and the label’s signature silhouettes updated with a considered selection of innovative new styles.
From the label’s inaugural collection, Ergic and Romanin have forged a signature design practice of using traditional techniques, including toiling and adaptable wrapping.
Taking inspiration from the natural environment, neutral stone-derived tones of monochrome, dreamy dove and gloomy charcoal grey are offset with understated ocean hues of delicate powder, sky, indigo, navy and steel.
For this collection, the focus falls on texture, with liquid-like satin and delicate crepe de chine contrasting against lustrous ravens-wing velvet, tartan jacquard and suedette.
One Fell Swoop debuted DIECI on Tuesday October 6th at Lalla Rookh in Perth, to music by producer Marc Early.
