QAGOMA: APT8 November Opening Weekend Program

The Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art is soon to be transformed by a full and exciting program of over 40 performances, artist talks, curatorial tours and workshops, officially launching APT8.

The Opening festivities on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd November, will celebrate the first weekend of the ongoing APT8 Live programExpanding on the focus of performance, APT8 Live will see local and national artists converge on the Gallery during the exhibition period for live performances, talks and more.  This is a first for the exhibition, and APT Live hopes to make performances a highlight for every visitor’s experience. To place live performance within a museum context is unexpected and innovative, making for a memorable artistic experience.

The Queensland Government is the Founding Supporter of The Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art.

APT8 will be held at the Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art from 21 November 2015 – 10 April 2016.
