Each year Alina Cho hosts The Atelier as part of the MetLiveArts series at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. In June, fashion designer Michael Kors joins a formidable line up.
MetLiveArts is a contemporary performance and talks platform held within gallery spaces in the hallowed halls of The Met. Artists, performers, curators, and thought leaders are invited to collaborate and share their style stories and expertise. On Wednesday 21 June at 6.30pm Michael Kors will be next to join a stellar line up of previous appearances by Alber Elbaz, Alexander Wang, Diane von Furstenberg, Donatella Versace and Anna Wintour.
Kors is a globally celebrated creator of 21st century all-American style for women and men. Known by many as “the master of cut and one-liners”, Kors will share his humour and insight in to the fashion industry. Learn how Kors built his brand over the past three decades, from life as a five-year-old advising his mother on her wedding dress, to starting his own fashion label in 1981, and growing it into a global design house. They’ll also discuss his more recent role as a judge on Project Runway, his company’s IPO and success as a public company.
There is much to learn. The talk forms part of the third season of The Atelier series with Alina Cho.
