The Kingdom Collection was a year in the making for Megan Hess, best known around the world for her illustrations in Sex And The City, written by Candace Bushnell.
‘Kingdom’ was a labour of love for Hess who wanted to illustrate a luxurious pallet of black, white, gold and scarlet with textured fabrics of delicate lace and rich red velvet. About the project, Hess says, “as an artist I have always been fascinated by the mystery and beauty of palaces and all that surrounds them. From golden gates, to magical carriages and of course, the illustrious Queens, dressed in couture, that rule their Kingdoms. This Limited Edition Print Collection comprises of 8 different bespoke illustrations that embody the magical world and the palaces they reside in.”
Each print comes in 3 sizes and in a Limited Edition run of only 25 prints per size and is available exclusively at meganhess.com.
Since Sex And The City, Hess has illustrated portraits for Vanity Fair and Time, created iconic accessories for Henri Bendel and illustrated the windows of Bergdorf Goodman in New York.
