The Nocturnal series at Melbourne Museum: the perfect antidote for awkward first dates

The Nocturnal series at Melbourne Museum is strictly for adults.

It feels like it would be the perfect time and place for a first date, too. For example you can show your new companion how you’re completely unafraid of humungous, roaming spider robots (see video below), and share in interesting experiences all around you, instead of enduring incredibly awkward silences.

The Nocturnal events combine your natural curiosity and compulsion to touch things, with live music and full access to museum galleries, ping-ponging discussions, a Nail Bar for beauty emergencies, and of course, plenty of food and drinks.

This Friday the headliners are NO ZU and Mildlife plus Adriana (DJ) will be on hand to provide a dreamy world soundscape. Cue the slow mo run toward each other (or dash from enormous spider bots), here .

Nocturnal guests are encouraged to think and move for themselves, unravelling stories and posing questions with one-on-one access to Museum experts and unique collection items.

The next Nocturnal event is being held this Friday 1 December from 6 to 11pm and happens on the first Friday of every month at Melbourne Museum, 11 Nicholson St, Carlton. For tickets and more info click here.

Seen at top: NO ZU are an 8-piece, body-music extravaganza dug up from deep within the Melbourne underground dance world.
