Civil Disorder: the winning sounds of RAT BOY’s new album

The new 7-track from RAT BOY aka Jordan Cardy perfectly blends garage rock and industrial punk pop with flecks of grime and hip hop.

It’s like The Prodigy’s filthy love child has landed in our laps with an abundance of flamboyance and noise. Rat Boy brims with cheek, too, and we can’t get enough!

Our favourite song on CIVIL DISORDER belongs on the catwalk. Teenage Tearaway features Clams Casino, and you need it in your life right now.

Highlights include the 90s trip-hop meets modern trap mash-up ‘BE MY ANIME’, RAT BOY’s personal favourite ‘KNOCK KNOCK PT. II’ featuring Lord Apex, and the “angry as fuck” ‘OH NO’.

“I’ve been listening to a lot of early 80s American punk and 70s punk from the UK,” says RAT BOY. “I want to get that energy mixed with the production of the new hip-hop records that I’m into.”
