This little New World City continues to astound me, and this year was no exception.
The Brisbane buzz just gets stronger year on year, and the arts scene has a vibe that is every bit as bright as our annual 300 days of sunshine. Sure, we sometimes try and take whitegoods on the train, but who wouldn’t want to have a beer with that guy?

2017 brought with it an array of characters, festivals, art exhibitions and events. Highlights included jostling for space on the MBFF garden swing, seeing my 6-year-old main man run excited laps of the Madman Anime Festival, and losing myself in a 12-minute Pete Murray charm vortex. Vegas, you’re my world’s most liveable city.
Here are my biggest Queensland stories for 2017:
1 Mercedes-Benz Brisbane Fashion Festival: Next Hotel Next Gen Runway
2 Take Me Down: The Pete Murray Interview
